Jennifer A. Cooper, Managing Director
Jennifer A. Cooper, CFA, CIDA, has been reviewing, conducting investment due diligence, and supervising the investment in public and private equity, hedge funds, venture capital and alternative investments since her professional career began in 1987. Ms. Cooper’s expertise is in bridging the information gap between investment advisors and their key investors. Over the course of her career, Ms. Cooper has worked extensively with the Boards of corporate and public U.S. pension funds, endowment funds, foundations, non-profit organizations, family offices, private investors, and sovereign funds. Key past clients served by Ms. Cooper include MOSERS, Oregon Investment Council, Ohio PERS, CalPERS, University of St. Thomas Endowment, Hebrew Union College, Northwestern Memorial Hospital (Chicago), and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
From 2007-2010 she worked with large and small asset management firms to help them to position and grow their businesses, and attract and retain key clients. This experience allows her to better understand the practical challenges faced by asset management firms. She is a co-founder and current Board member of the non-profit Global Renewal Foundation. Ms. Cooper is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Investments and Derivatives Auditor.
Michael K. Crist, Managing Director
Michael Crist is an IT management consultant with over 25 years of experience in the financial, telecom, biotech, entertainment and government information technology sectors. Mr. Crist has worked with a number of well-known financial services clients, helping to redefine business processes and practices to address changes introduced by enabling technologies. Past clients have included Vanguard, Charles Schwab, CalPERS, AIG, Wells Fargo, and U.S. Bank. Mr. Crist has also consulted to a number of technology firms and start-ups, including Agilent, British Biotech, GlobalStar, U.S. West, PacBell, and Universal Music/Sony, Kinko’s and ClickAction. Although the large majority of his work has been as a private sector consultant to financial services firms, Mr. Crist has also provided consulting services to local, state and federal governmental agencies.
Mr. Crist is a co-author of Cognitive Patterns: Problem Solving Frameworks for Object Technologies (Cambridge University Press). He holds advanced degrees in biostatistics and anthropology and has pursued further studies in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
